My first ever brew an extract chocolate mahogany porter was done in August last year and due to cold fermentation temps didnt taste very good at all. So I put it in a box as was told to give it 6 months and see how it is.
When we moved house in October I couldnt find it a few weeks later, and had no idea where I had put it.
The other day I decided to clean out my back garden shed, was moving the esky and heard a rattle...There they are.
Pity we have just gone through summer and the temps in the small tin shed would have been scorching on some days. If it were winter they may have been alright.
Anyway lesson learnt, I sampled one that was in PET and hadn't leaked and the same twang was there so a waste of time keeping them anyway.
