Hey guys/girls I was wondering if anyone on here has used a t500 boiler for biab?

And if so pictures of any mods you might have made would be great as well as any tips

Not used one for BIAB, but I don't see why you couldn't. From memory they don't have a temp controller on the element, so if you run the boiler power plug through an STC-1000 and put the temp probe inside it somehow (dangle it over the side or make a permanent thermowell) you can control your strike and mash out temps with that. The clips around the side that normally hold the lid on should do OK for holding your grain bag too.

A Grainfather is about the same size as a T500. It is already a BIAB system. Cost a bit more ofcourse, but is is plug 'n brew
