With the Easter Show on this week in Sydney, they've added a beer comp this year.

Some ahem, interesting results

Schedule

hmmmmm

"Please note that upon receipt of entry, Exhibits will be stored at
4-6 degrees celsius for Lagers, Ales & Wheat Beers and between
6-8 degrees celsius for Stouts & Porters.
Exhibits will be presented to the Judges at room temperature."

i dont think i would want to try tooheys extra dry at room temp... let alone give it any sort of medal... jesus.

i wonder if they judged barking duck by the same criteria as the jamieson beast, or if they used guidelines for each style within categories of pale ale or dark ale etc?

still i approve of the general conservative points giving... they make a gold medal harder than hitting the right balloons with the darts to score the big teddy bear... which is a welcome contrast to the AIBA where a bronze medal just means you've successfully fermented wort

Do those results mean that Little Creature Pale Ale didn't even receive a bronze?
