Hi, thought I would give a stout a go. Any suggestions for a relatively simple stout recipe.

Good link, but not the right one.

Really simple - coopers stout tin, 500g dried malt extract, 750 dextrose.

When you get into extract brewing, steeping grains and adding hops (not too early to start) give stu's suggestion a go. We can walk you through it if it isn't making sense at first glance.

I have steeped grains and used hops before. Stu's link takes me to a beer study gag in the jokes section. Am I missing something?

Odd. Takes me to his pillar of stout all grain recipe.

No idea why it's different for you.

Takes me to the recipe page for that beer..

Go to the recepi section, and its under Stout. Should work

I am using the app on an iPhone. Would someone mind trying to add the link again?

Thanks Stu, I didn't even realise there was a recipe section. Time for some more reading.

Weird, takes me to the same link. I'll go try on the laptop.

I just tried it on my laptop it worked fine. Through the iPhone app it takes me to the joke. Weird.

Edit - even Manticle's link takes me to the joke on my iPhone.

Does for me too, that's bloody hilarious! Stu's favourite recipe mysteriously pops up as a joke for beer :D

Thanks guys, works on the laptop. I was beginning to think I must drink to much, but at least I'm not the only one. The recipe looks a little too advanced for me at the moment. If I use a can, dried malt and dextrose would steeping a few hundred grams of grain, hops and different yeast be worth using or should I just stick to the kit and kilo.

Actually its probably only my 3rd or 4th favourite..... B)

I am IPad and the link is fine.
Straight to the recipe for me. :)

I reckon it's the app rather than the device. Are you using the app dicko?
