As a new pool owner I am pondering the idea of using my pool water as a source for my plate chiller. Anyone have a sub pump they would recommend or some min specs I should use?

Cheers

Paul

Couldn't you just put a T-piece into the pool filter plumbing and use that pump to provide the feed. Then just run the return water back in the pool.

edit: (non pool owner) I though they had a drain valve/ air bleed with a hose type fitting already on them?

$50 bunnings pump should sort it (from the plumbing area) not the pond pumps
just consider any head height you might need

you might need a T and a 2nd valve to bleed off some pressure and return to pool

flush the pump with fresh water after

i am warming my pool upto 25-27'C today and tomorrow to have a swim (solar heating) :beerbang:
