Stir Plate Bulk Buy

Hey guys,

While waiting for the next NSW order to fill up I got a bit impatient so I put together a temporary fix



The fan is from an old computer PSU (complete with around 10years of dust), the spinning magnets which you can't see were pulled from an old DC motor, the regulator is fixed at 6 volts and it's all held together with hot glue.

I activated two starters over the weekend, can't wait for the real deal to arrive though!

Hi Eric,

Let everyone know we're good on the boards, I'm building circuits as fast as I can to get caught up. The hold up now is with stir bars I expected long before the boards that still aren't here. They should be here Thursday at which point I anticipate having all the plates built, tested and packed waiting for stir bars to get throw on top, sealed and shipped. Should make Christmas with enough time to brew something fast like a hefe or Saison and be drinking it (young) on New Years!

Hi everyone,

As of 12/11 all of the shipments are in the mail. Thanks everyone for the business and for hanging in there with the delays. Looks like everyone should have them by Christmas.

For future buys, I found a good deal on the plug that mates with the jack on the circuit boards so I'll be able to include those. At least then you can just look for a power supply of the right voltage and not worry about the plug, although you'll need to be able to solder it on.

I found a powerpack that came with the charger for a cordless drill which no longer works.
Did the trick.

I had a power supply that came with my daughters electric car fits perfect.
as FarsideOfCrazy has said those two will be your best bet or bunnings might have something as Gap said some drill charger leads fit.

For a beer or two brother in law (3 boys) looked around for power supplies for broken down toys and found heaps. Picked one which got the stirer going.
Got any relatives, friends or work mates with grown up kids? Offer a couple of beers, they might come up with one!
