Sterilising

Why does it say to sterilise with non-scented bleach? Will using lemon scented bleach affect anything? I ask because i just sterilised with lemon scented bleach and didn't realise it was lemon scented until after i had sterilised. Ihavent started brewing yet.

The scented bleach can leave a taste behind , rinse really really well , then give the bleach to the wife.

As Batz said, it can affect the taste of the beer. Give it a couple of good rinses and if you can't smell lemon you should be right.
