Hello all:

Is there any performance issues in getting the 12V over the 220V model?
Any other reason to get one over the other?

Thanks,

G

The 220V is easier (and cheaper) to wire up because you don't need a 12V power source to run the thing. The 220V version runs on the same power going to the fridge.

Save $5 on the unit
Spend it on the 12v transformer
Burn the house down because the 12v transformer fails <_<

It's not that bad, but for minimal $ why stuff around? You will spend more on your next takeaway coffee than the "savings"

Can't imagine why there would be any performance differences between the two, they both do exactly the same thing.
My sister does not have mains-electricity, so the 12V model runs her 12V fridge - which is a great reason to buy the 12V version.

It has nothing to do with saving $5. They are the same price.
A transformer will not burn down the house. They are used everywhere as it is for phones etc.
I guess I'll just go easy. Either way simple to wire.

Thanks,

R
