Where abouts in Sydney can I get those sexy ss ball valve taps all you AG brewers have on your kettles.

I've checked out the local Bunnings but they couldn't help me.

Try in the yellow pages under "Hoses & Fittings--Supplies & Service" or similar.

All plumbing supplies carry them , try "tradelink"

A brewmate gets his from Melbourne. He is in Sydney too.

Find what you want here but don't order from them as they are heaps more expensive. Once you have sorted out what fittings you need then you can order them from here: -

Ask for Philip.

I haven't used these guys and you might find cheaper locally. If you do let us know - I am in the market myself. Mate said that his boiler setup of a 1/2" socket, 1/2" hex nipple, 1/2" ball valve and 1/2" male hose tail (1/2" barbed end). Cost around about $35 all up in Stainless and $12 in brass.

You probably want SS316 BSP fittings. If you don't know what these are ask someone on this forum who will know more than me. I know nothing. ;)

BTW Wax. You coming to the Sydney meet? You know you want to.

I can get SS ball valves with 5/8 inch internal and 7/8 inch external thread.
Comes with a thread that is long enough to go thru the keg wall.
Located lock nuts ss as well.
Other end of the ball valve you can fit a male nylex snap lock hose fitting.
I can also supply a ss nut and tail barb that is 1/2 inch. and or a 90 degree round taht you can fit that will allow you to adjust the pick up point in the kettle ...
will sell them for 35.00 plus freight if anyone is interested...

I will post a pic tomorrow....

Rubes

I have found Prochem to be the cheapest place to buy SS parts locally.
Either my Prochem is good or my other stores are crap.
