I was in Tassie this week, and with a few hours to spare we made our way to Spreyton (just south of Devonport) to check out the new Spreyton Cider Co.
These guys have been doing apple juice for many years and just recently started doing cider.
They've done five different styles, and considering their first batch was only bottled in October 2012, I was pretty impressed with the results.
You can only find it in Tassie at this stage (or mail order), but I hope they do well and expand. At $4 a bottle it's a good deal cheaper than most of the other boutique Tassie ciders too!

My favourite was the "Dark" which is similar to a more traditional English Cider, and is infused with three different Tassie hops. The girl at the counter couldn't/wouldn't say which ones.
