I spoke with the rep from the supplier again and he will be getting back to me with the quote.

I have a mate who has a forklift and should be able to take delivery of the stock. There are some dangerous goods requirements that I'm being forwarded so the impact of that will be assessed once I review the requirements. As a fallback, does any of our participants have a property / facility with a forklift who can take receipt of the pallet?

The total cost is expected to be a little higher as stock arrives in the south and is freighted to Queensland. Also, they use Chep pallet system which I don't have a contract for nor a pallet to swap. Again, if any of our gents has these arrangements and is happy to support the process, send me a message and we'll see what we can do.

Ok gents pricing info from the supplier

1mt Sodium Percarbonate (40 bags) @ $1.46/kg delivered + GST (Subject to stock availability & final confirmation).

So $40+ each bag delivered to any location in Brisbane. And that includes labour to give us a pallet and avoid the Chep side of things.

I still need help with a forklift but we are getting there now.

More details to come. Hope that price is ok for all. Let me know.

Still need to coordinate delivery address and distribution etc.

So we are still rolling on this one and I reckon we can all get there.

Smoko, I'm absolutely keen to hear how you go at the clubs. Given some luck, they could take us to the 40.

The second option is for me to ask the group to double up wherever they can.
Keep in mind that this gear is excellent for clothes.

Lastly, I'm happy to invest in bulk up to 6 sacks to close the gap.

Therefore our position is 10 short of completion. That's getting close.

Brendale works, so let's pencil in Brad's shop for now. We can work together to coordinate a drop to the south siders as details emerge. Let me know if you can be a distribution point for south Brisbane.

Also any thoughts on adding sodium metabisulfide to the BB as well. I participated in one of the Melbourne ones a year or so back and we we splitting bags of Met for mixing with the perc in a 1:5 ratio.

I asked the rep to send me their products list. Smoko mentioned sodium metasilicate and it wasn't on the list.
Whereas I believe sodium metabisulfite was.

He said that there are issues with putting combinations of substances on the same pallet as Sodium percarbonate is classified as dangerous goods.

I'll give him a call again tomorrow to discuss again.

It might be worth double checking Smoko if you wanted the silicate or the sulfite...

Sodium Perc is an excellent pre stain wooden deck wash, better buying the real stuff with the same active ingredient in it at 30 times the price.Also great on Concrete driveways so should all buy some more

Metasillicate I believe from memory.. 3/1 ratio makes a PBW like compound, an old bulk buy of mine wolfy added a list of available surfactants and such as well to get even closer.

Was a while ago, would take a while to dig up... Tbh, I've given most of mine away and pretty much only need and use the perc. Personally wouldn't worry about it.

Yep, Perc and Sodium Metasilicate 4:1, 100g total per 20L is same recc amt as PBW. Perc:Met ratio of 4:1 is very close to the amounts from the PBW MSDS.
