Rudi is my favourite hop. Your recipe looks solid.

Although i don't mind a single hop beer, it pairs amazingly well with Mouteka or any other NZ hop.

Thanks, thinking about maybe increasing the whirlpool and lowering the 15min addition..

Is losing nearly 8 litres of wort between the kettle and packaging normal? That's nearly 50% of the final packaged volume!

It's a strong bittering hop no doubt - but takes a while to calm down in my experience. Needs a few months to round out, otherwise it's a bit sharp for my liking.

No idea, havent really dialed in my boil off rate. Thinking about it I probably lose about 4-5L from finished boil to keg.

Doesn't sound good, I don't really have the patience or keg space to wait that long! More sharp than Chinook?

Don't ask but I dropped ~90grams of the Dr rudi on my garage floor when doing whirlpool addition so I dont have enough for dry hop now! So thinking about dry hopping with Chinook.

A dust pan would have solved that problem

I did use one, but straight to the bin. Maybe your garage floor is cleaner than mine, but I wasn't too keen on sweeping up a bunch of dirt and hops and throwing it in post boil!

I've done that before, turned out well! Go for it.

Your post boil volume is 26L, but you are packaging 19L.

This seems like a big gap. You're effectively using grain and hops to make 7L of wort that's not being used, almost a carton of beer.

Edit: This might be normal, I don't know, but I try to lose as little as possible. I lose about 1L in the kettle and another 2L in the fermenter.
