Hi guys,
As the title says I’m brewing a Simcoe Amarillo APA. I’m going for a session style apa with plenty of hops. Just looking for some feedback on hop additions.

25l Batch
4.7kg Gladfields Ale Malt
.3kg Cara pils
30g Amarillo @ 15min
15g simcoe @ 15min
40g Amarillo @ 0min
20g Simcoe @ 0min
US-05
80g Amarillo dry hop 3 days
40g simcoe dry hop 3 days

IBU 27
AVB 4.7

Cheers.

You can go higher with the 15 min additions - don’t shy away from the bitterness. 35-40 IBU is good for an APA

I'd be inclined to throw some 5 min additions in to get the IBU's up to 35-40 like TSOAB suggests, and large-ish whirlpool additions in there at around 65c.. you could throw some citra into the mix but I do like the amarillo/simcoe combination if you were just trying to keep it to the two..

Thanks appreciate the feedback. I’ve bumped up both hop additions and to achieve 40 IBU.
Brew day went down with out a issue, nailed my volumes and only slight under gravity.

is one packet of yeast enough for 27litres?
