Hi guys,

Just about to get another CPA brew happening, would there be anything wrong with adding say 200g of carapils into this recipe to add a little head retention?

thoughts??

Good move - however are you an AG brewer? If so I'd go flaked wheat in the mash. I stick Carapils in just about anything where I'm looking for head and lacing, even stouts.

Yep, wheat malt for CPA. You'll get the head retention but not the additional body you'll get with carapils.

Yep AG Brewer :)

Im doing a 23lt batch with 200g wheat, i might turn up the wheat to 300g to try and help retention instead of using the carapils?

10 or 15% wheat wouldn't be out of place in the style. I use 10%.

thanks guys,

added 300g wheat and will see how this goes, i probably dont want to add any body as im already adding 300g sucrose to 'thin' the body.

cheers!
