Hey all.
Went outside earlier to find my nearly ready cascade plant on the ground as the trellis broke in the storm.
The main bine has snapped about a meter from the end, as it is that time of the year, the cones are nearly ready to pick.
Will I pick the cones and put up with the grassy flavor, or will the cones before the snap continue to ripen?

Has any one had this happen before?

Thanks in advance.
Hammo.

surely this didnt need its own topic? whats wrong with the 2011 Hop Plantations topic?

Anywhoo... as hops like to suck the nutrient out of the bine at the end of the season, Id also assume that the cones will continue to ripen until dry..

Much like their cousins, they will continue to draw nutrient until they can go no further, Id leave them.

if its still attached i'd leave it there.
