Self Stirring Pot - Awesome Idea

I wonder if we angled some fins on out pots if it would achieve the same. The only thing I'm not sure do we need to be boiling temps to create enough heat transfer?

You wouldn't need to bend the sides of a pot to make it self-whirlpooling, would you?

You could just make a series diagonal folds in a sheet of metal then roll it into a cylinder and slide it down to fit against the inside wall of your boil pot.

Aluminium might be a good choice because its soft and easy to work by hand.
 
just read about this awesome japanese invention, the self stirring pot.
Now if only they made it in 100L sizes...

like I keep telling the missus, just turn down the bloody gas.

was expecting to see the old chains for stirring the mash tun. just to quash the dream of a stir free boiler, it is no use for whirlpooling as the convection ends when the flame goes out.
