Ok i have been brewing then placing the brew into a 2nd container and left it in the cold for 2 weeks.

I want to know:
when to place the brew into the second fermenter? At the end of the brewing? or half way?

Do you add some sugers to produce some CO2?
(I dry hop)

Do you leave it in the warm for a few days?

Or move it across at the end of the brewing, then cold it.

I then move it to a Keg and fridge it for a few weeks - month+ in the cold to condition it...

any help would be great.

some say move it at half gravity, others say this is the time it really needs the extra yeast for diactyle rest or somthing... and to move it once finished... therefore you would not want to add any sugars , but then it has no protection from the O2

Ben

I usually rack after 7 days to a secondary for a min of 2 weeks.
I dry hop.
In the secondaty i leave it in the shed pantry for those 2 weeks.
If you want to lager then rack to a tertiary/keg and store in the cold for a min of 2 weeks.

I do this with all my beers/lagers etc.
So far, no complaints.

Hope this helps.
