Does any body have a recipe or know of a good attempt at this beer, it is yummo and I have not been able to get in the ball park with my attempts.
I have not gleaned any info from anywhere and am probably being a little lazy but hoping someone has done some work and can help.

Have you tried WLP 037 in your previous attempts, I believe is supposed to be the Sam Smith's yeast.

I'd reckon an og of 1.048, 95% MO pale malt, 5% Simpson's med crystal, hop to approx 30-40 ibu with EKGs/Styrians would get you close to the ballpark.

I'd suggest yeast choice will be the biggest factor in getting close to the Sam Smith's flavour.

Pretty sure Screwtop has a decent recipe for old brewery pale. Yeast will be key - most of the uk recipes I've seen for commercial bitters are just a pale/crystal mix with fuggles and goldings.
