Don't let them get water logged.
They turn to mush if the soil doesn't drain properly.
It's pretty amazing watching these things grow.

Got mine today, loverly long thick rhizomes. Two thumbs up for these. In the ground within 10 minutes and rearing to go. I'm growing in mounded sandy loam above chitter and fill 3' down, I have not had any problems in the past with wet feet. Thanks, great rhizomes.
