In regard to your post above - "wait" is almost always the answer, especially for the first few batches. Even after only a few brews you'll work out the difference between when you're just being impatient (totally understandable) and when something is really wrong.
 
This thread has been useful as I undercarbed one of my batches. I wasn't sure what I should expect when reopening and adding sugar to the bottles - I will attempt to reprime the bottles tomorrow.
