Refractometer - eBay vs. G&G Price Difference

Hi Folks,

I'm tthinking of getting a refractometer. I notice that G&G is selling them for $50.00 while eBay has something that appears to be the same for about half that price.

Just wondering if there is any difference?

Probably not.
Although on ebay you may get one companies knockoff of another companies product that may not be as good.

If you buy one with the right scales and ATC you'll probably be ok but don't rely on that ATC. Check at the right temps.

If you would like rape and rain to continue to offer the shopfront sales and service you currently get from them is better to pay a little more for the things you buy from them of course if you can manage without them buying from fleabay will save you a few bucks. Personally I'd rather be able to walk into my local, chat a little, try other patrons beers and know they are there on Saturday morning when I drop my hydrometer.
