After a pint of morrison's irish red ale last night, Yum! I decided to try my hand. This beer was caramel/toffee malt heaven with a galaxy/citra like finish. Really good.
I've had a ganzer at past posts discussing interpreting this style but havn't been able to access the recipe database. Anyway I've come up with
3750g base malt
1000g vienna or munich?
150g melanoidin
350g caraaroma
250g crystal 270
Northern brewer to 15ibu at 60
Amarillo at 20 to 10ibu (no citra on hand)
mash at 67 ?
yeast nottingham or us05? (never used liquid)
This'll be my first ag not a pale or esb so any suggestions welcome!

Ok so probably nothing like Morrisons which probably uses english hops:blink: Found the database too. Still, I bought carered and caraaroma this morn'. So thinking more like a red ale with amarillo.
4kg Maris
1kg munich 1
300g carared
200g caraaroma
100g melanoidin
50g choc dark
hops same as above
yeast a choice of above.
reckon I should get 1.054ish
Soo... wrong track completely or should I just brew the Better red than dead recipe from database?!
