Brewer's Notes

Attempt to approximate Mac's Sassy Red. This is close (though no cigar). Lovely beer in its own right. Note: Czech Saaz plugs were bagged and added to the cubes also used Caramel Rye (not listed in d/base), not Caramel Wheat. Pacific Gem addition @ 60 mins is actually Pacific Jade (also not on d/base).
Water additions:
15g of Gypsum
10g of Calcium Chloride

0.25 kg Weyermann CaraWheat
0.15 kg Weyermann Caraaroma
0.11 kg TF Dark Crystal
0.1 kg Weyermann Carafa Special III

Hi Warren,
you mention in the brewers notes that this is close to a Sassy Red, but not quite. Any thoughts on what you'd change to make it closer?

I just tasted one of these tonight for the first time, Macs Sassy Red that is...bloody delicious!

Anyone tried this recipe? What did you think, is it pretty close?
