Felon's Black Pilsner

Lager - Schwarzbier
All Grain

Brewer's Notes

O.G 1.046 F.G 1.008 IBU 27.3. Wyeast 2001 Urquell Lager
Mash @ 64 C for 60 min. Ferment @ 11 C, raise to 16 C for 'D' rest for 48 hrs then crash chill for 7 days. Transfer to kegs and lager at 1.5 C for 8 weeks.

I'm not a real big fan of dark beers so this was the style for me. It's nice and malty and toasty with out being roasty. I decided I don't like beers that are too roasty as are most dark styles. It's a well balanced beer with a dry finish which helps if you are keen for a few. :chug:
 
is it anything like a schwarzbier?
