Congrats on your first place, looks like a tasty beer damien.

Any info on mash temp, pitching rate (says only 2g??), ferment temp? time fermenting? lagering etc etc.

Cheers

PS. Good luck in the nationals, are you going to rebrew it, or run with a known winner ;)

Thanks MattC. I used 2 packets of yeast (24g). It was a single infusion mash of 67C. I mashed for 90min and boiled for 90min. I stuck the air stone in the next morning for 1 hour before adding the yeast. I chilled, but i only got the wort down to 30C. I'm running a Biab set up. It was actually a double batch.

Unfortunately I polished off the last keg the night before i got the results and i dont have time to re brew for the Nationals. Live and learn.

BIAB taking 1st place Pilsener, and with a dried yeast! There goes the neighbourhood!

Congratulations Damian :beerbang:

After swearing off trying to brew pilsners I think I will give this one a try. Do you remember the fermentation temperature?

If you didn't finish off the keg you may not have won first place ;)

Hey sirotilic. It was fermented at 11C for 3 weeks and i raised the temp to 16C for 3 Days.
