Hey mate, i do a lot of ordinary bitters, but usually use pommy hops. How did you find the cascade hops in the beer???. Might try this in my next bitter.,

I haven't tried this recipe but Dark Star in the UK does a bitter called HopHead finished with generous amounts of Cascade late and it is fantastic.
A few English breweries are now experimenting with using US hops but keeping with English type malt bills and yeasts.

That's exactly what im thinkin of doing. I love bitter, and i also love US hops, so why not combine the two??.
Yummy :icon_cheers:

Smells Awesome, tastes even better. This is one of the simplest, yet tastiest bitters i've ever made.

Havn't been around for a while due to other stuff.

This beer placed 3rd in the Low alc category at sabsosa as an ordinary bitter.

Good feedback from judges.
Interestingly neither of them picked the cascade hops as being out of style of overtly citrusy.
Floral was the descriptor.....So I guess my hunch paid off.
