I recently bought a huge bag of DME from ESB. 25kg of it!!!! I also grabbed some malts and hops etc. I bought a can of Wheat LME too. The LME will go into a Weizen along these lines:

1.7Kg Wheat LME
750g pale ale malt
750g wheat malt
250g munich malt
500g Light DME
25g Hallertau 60 mins

This should make a nice wheaty/malty sweet weizen.

I'll then be left with:

4.25Kg Pale Malt
4.25kg Wheat malt
3.75kg munich
24.5Kg Light DME!!!
2kg Crystal (60EBC)
500g Light Choc Malt
500g roasted barley
1kg Belgian Aroma Malt
75g Hallertau
100g Tetnanger
100g Northern Brewer (10%AA)

I have a few yeasts:
Safale
SafWheat
Saflager (too warm to use now)
WLP500 Trappist Ale
WLP001 California Ale

I'm mostly interested in playing with Belgian styles but would like to put on a few bottle fillers in the meantime. Can anyone throw together some quick and simple recipes using the above?

Either.

I want to use the DME mostly. Simple recipes for nice tasting beer. Don't worry about the Belgian aroma malt. It's reserved for a recipe I'm formulating/testing. I'll also be using lots of Munich.

Basically I'm after some nice easy drinking ales.

Thanks.

I have 25KG of IMCA pale malt now as well , only way to but it !

PM, here is a great partial mash recipe if you like it malty (recipe for 20 litres):

2kgs Munich
1.5kgs DME
18g Northern Brewer (10% AA) 60 minute boil

California Ale yeast.

Should give you wort around OG 1050 at IBU of 30.

If you brew it let us know how it turns out
