Hi,

Thanks for the suggestions to the Cherry Ripe Dark Ale post. Still gathering info from the site and collecting ingredients (cherries are expensive in Qld). Considering steeping choc malt for this one but that is for a later discussion.

Raspberry Lemonade - I was thinking of making a hard lemonade a little while back and found the Two Dogs recipe at the following post reply (http://www.aussiehomebrewer.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=203&view=findpost&p=504069). Anyways, have some frozen mixed berries which I thought i might put into fermenter at end of fermentation.

My question is: Is fruit that is bought in frozen packs OK to just throw into the fermenter? Should i heat it to 70 C for 2 min as per wiki article on fruit?

Any assistance is appreciated.

I would guess that you should follow the same guidelines. Heating to 70 will kill various bacteria whereas freezing will just make them dormant.
