So I prepared two lots of gelitine to add to two kegs today but then had to rush out for a few hours... the gelitine mixture is in the kegs already and sealed up but I didnt get a chance to transfer the beer from the fermenters.

Question is whether it will be fine to finish it off 4 hours later or whether the gelitine would be no good by then (ie possibly infected, oxidised or lose the ability to do what it's there to do).

Might be a stupid question but thought I'd ask before putting two batches on top of it!

Cheers, camo

For ~$0.02 worth of gelatin you might as well dump it and try again.

If you can get it "un-set"

Probably set like a jelly
Isn't that the point of using gelatine?

A cupful of boiling water will sort all of this out one way or the other.

If warm water & scrubbing doesn't un-set it, you'd best source your gelatin from a different supplier than your concrete

If it has cooled down I'd imagine the gelatine has set so it has lost the ability to work as a fining when the beer is added.
Like mentioned above, rinse and repeat.
