Hi all.
It's a really sad day for us tonight as my dear mum of 60yrs has passed away.
A 5 year battle with breast cancer took it's toll on mum but she is a fighter & actually beat the dreaded cancer only to succumb to chronic heart failure. She endured a year of Chemo & six months of radiation to beat the disease. A full year of experimental drugs enlarged her heart & destroyed her lungs, the cure is worse than the disease itself. In re-mission for a few years but the lungs & heart were never going to get any better & the downward spiral began. She required extended hours on oxygen every day just to be able to function at 50% capacity. This morning around 10:30 AM, she was taken to hospital with severe dehydration & we all assumed a night on the drip would see her back home tomorrow. Every hour that past saw her worsen to the point of being incoherent. My family & I spent several hours by her bedside, stroking her hair, holding her hand when she finally succumbed. She made so many sacrifices in her life for us & not a day will go by without thoughts of you in our hearts.
We love you mum..........XO
