Where were the quotes from?

They were sent to me in an email. I guess somebody with too much time on their hands went through all the interview transcripts ;)

Yes and I hear the italian olympic team is very happy...

They now have their full compliment back for the diving squad.

Maybe they'll stuff up and do a synchronised dive on the soccer field one day?

These quotes have done the email rounds for years & are usually attributed to various English players & commentators.

"I couldn't settle in Italy- it was like living in a foreign country." -
Vince Grella.

This famous quote is usually attributed to former Liverpool & England striker Ian Rush about his ill-fated move to some Italian club rather than from Aussie dynamo Vince Grella, who has settled quite well in Italy from all reports & is carving them up in the starting squad at Parma.

I'm pretty certain Vince Grella speaks Italian, has Italian family and plans to live there when he retires.
Pretty certain I read that somewhere...
Still, quotes from sports stars are always good...

"It's deja vu all over again"
"Football's a game of two halves"
"Football's a funny game. 22 grown men chase a ball around the field for 90 minutes and at the end the Germans win"
