I bought a pouch of Mangrove Jack ginger beer on the way to work and left it in the car. Probably got a bit hot.

Have I killed the dry yeast in the sachet attached to the bottom of the pouch?

It all depends on how hot it got in your car. Over 40C tends to cook yeast. Saying that however, there is only one way to truly know and that is to pitch the yeast into a 1L starter and see how it goes. If it quickly comes up to krausen (within 12 hours) not much was affected. If it takes over 24 hours to show signs of krausen then it was somewhat affected and should be allowed to ferment out before pitching into another starter to get up the numbers and health of the yeast you pitch.

If the initial starter doesn't kick off at all, you know you cooked it.
