I have some Chinook in pots around 800mm tall, trained on bamboo stakes. I'm only going to be at this house for around 12 months so its more of a hobby than expecting a yield at this point until I can plant in the ground in a long term situation.

Question is if I hang some paracord from my pergola will this be OK? Im concerned that when it rains the cord will be damp and may cause issues with fungus etc. I can go stainless wire, but i have paracord in the shed.

A Bunnings storebought thing could work too, I figure it will be outgrown too quickly and less flexible as i can go horizontal when they get too high.

Cheers.

Paracord should be fine. I use silver rope but a lot use garden twine which would hold more moisture than paracord.

paracord works fine its also know as gun line.
its what i use.
