Decided to pull apart all my kegs yesterday to give em a good clean.

Now i can't remember, which post it which? Is the single hex the liquid or the gas?

If you have a Cornelius brand keg (as opposed to a Spartenburg/Firestone one), then the single hex one is the liquid and the starry one (multiple hex head) is the gas fitting.

Yeah the gas post generally has some kind of marking - either start pattern or nicks in the corners.

Thanks guys.

Anyone know where you can buy new posts? Just discovered that the post on my party keg is cracked.

Kegsystems ask $19.50 for a replacement one. Try your local HBS as most will have some parts lying around. I got some from my LHBS for $5 each. Make sure you take your keg in and try the fitting on because it gets really confusing and it is sometimes near impossible to distiguish Firestone/Spartanburg from Cornelius. Note, they are not interchangable.

Good luck, but you should be right.
