Hi All:

A mate is heading to Queensland tomorrow and wants to know which are the best breweries worth visiting.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Which part of Queensland? Its a big place

Green Beacon which is also very close to Newstead. Bacchus at Capalaba, Pumphouse in Ipswich.

Brewhouse Brisbane at Wooloongabba or Brisbane Brewing Co at West End - same people and they make their own beer. The Brisbane Pale Ale isn't bad. I think you'd call it a brewpub more than a brewery though.

Nobody's mentioned the XXXX brewery yet. It's actually not bad and fairly interesting to do a tour there even though it's one of the big ones.

Green beacon and Newstead Brewery are brew pubs within walking distance of each other. Also right near Tipplers tap which is a great craft beer bar.

Green Beacon, Newstead Brewing Co, Bacchus, Brisbane Brewing Co as mentioned above are all worth a trip.

It's a bit out of the way but Fortitude/Noisy Minor up at Tambourine is also worth a look. There's also All In Brewing out at Banyo.

There's a good number of great beer focused bars all over the shop now too.
