I am looking for any issues with my recipe, I am going for a nice fruity-piney pale that's not too harsh. I will be brewing this in about 2 hours time unless I hear any good reasons not to.

Hi Edak,

I like the look of the malt profile with some wheat and crystal in there. :) Personally I would go with 10% wheat but thats just me.

The C hops are nice, again Id make a change with the 10 and 5 min additions just a 5 mins addition. That way having bittering at 60mins, flavour at 15mins and aroma at 5mins, all ofcourse adding to bitterness overall.

Why a light body Pale ale though? Normally with the hops at 40IBU I would want a little more body (eg unfermentables) in there to balance that bitterness? Yes you will get some froom Alpha Amalayse at 72c but the highly fermentable 63c rest the 2 packets or US05 will rip through that...lol.

Dan

Looks good to me. If you don't want bitterness too much, I drop (for my APA) the 60 minutes additions to 30 minutes (max 35IBU), AIPA, I leave them at 60 and bump the 10 minute additions.

Thanks for suggestions, it's programmed up and have made a couple of slight modifications, most notably the main rest at 66 not 63.

how about some brew porn while the rig is in action?
