Guys,

In the UK they have a keg system that is a little different to here. It's a plastic keg that is used for serving English Ales and Bitters where you are looking for low carbonation.

It is a heavy duty plastic and the tap is connected to a float inside the keg for drawing beer off the top. The beer is carbonated naturally, but there is also an option to attach a soda-stream style sparklet to increase the carbonation.

I've never been able to find these over here, but Laurie Strachan mentions them in one of his books.

Does anyone out there know what I'm talking about and know if these are available in Australia? They're too damn expensive to import (quite bulky).

Here is the link to one

Reg was looking at doing this a while back.
He gave it a go using Coleman water containers.

Checkout the topic here.

He is active on OCB at the moment so is around. You should maybe try contacting him.

Beers,
