hi guys I've done my first keg at the start it poured real well now it foams no mater what I do I can see it splatter as it fist comes out of the gun.
can any one help me.

Bigfella,

My first kegging job was with a gun as well,
make sure when you pull a beer that you move the gun trigger to its full extent, and as fast as you can, this will avoid foaming up the beer.
Also what pressure are you pouring at?
Too high a pressure will cause more foaming, from memory with the gun i poured at something like 7 or 8 psi...
Are you pouring into a chilled glass?
Pouring into a chilled glass will also help in preventing your beer to foam.

Cheers

Bigfella, you may have overcarbonated it. Take the keg out of the fridge for a couple of days. Bleed the CO2 off a few times each day. Then put it back in the fridge and regas. Just a thought.

We all have problems with kegging.

I can get the perfect 'lager' carbonations, but my ales loose all the flavour. So i give it less gas, only problems is, (dont ask me how) i get more foam.

In the end i dont really care as long as the beer tastes its best. ;)

Good luck there no science behind it its just trial and error.

Thanks Guys I will give all these tips a try. It may take me some time to get it right but it still beats cleaning them bottles.
