Hey all,

Has anyone got the info for inputting into promash for the powells malts yet. I can find the Color andmoisture info, but im looking for the fine grind and potential extract?

Hey OZ, What was the colour for pilsner malt? All I could find on the site was 2.5-3.5 EBC but nothing accurate..

Cheers

I wonder if the Adelaide boys have this info , they have been brewing with Powells for a while.
Otherwise I'll email them for the specs.

If you email Powells they will get back to you pretty quickly.
In Beersmith when you adjust the dry yield it adjusts the Potential. I dont know about Promash though.
I dont know how acurate that is but I have just left it for now.
If you do email them, let us know how you get on.

kind of but its very vague info

Moisture Content Extract Colour Kolbach Index D.P.

<4.5% >80.5% 2.5 3.5 40 44 220 - 260

I have no idea of how to convert kolbach or DP for promash

Thanks Batz. You can disregard my email that I just sent you without reading this. Than again, in the reply i received, there are some other figures that we are seeking for Promash and BeerSmith. Note also that Grant says that they do not have any data for Gravity Potential.

Ditto with Promash for me & a few others. All help much appreciated. :)

Johnno, the figures in that text file are not correct. The only thing that changes from type to type is the colour in your file. You need to get the other parameters from Powells. BTW, I have only ever seen a broad spec from Powells - never a Certificate of Analysis.
