Ok i think im in deep crap right now

Ive got my sarsparilla after 10 days with a loud hiss upon opening and over flow of bubbles,
then my lemonade with about 5 -7 days under their belts doing the same thing with not much over flow bit heaps of carb on the inside.

Do i have ashit load of bottle bombs if so what can i do
can i let out a bit of pressure then re cap

Yes you can re-cap.

Let out the gas carefully by just lifting the cap. Leave the cap on for a while for the drink to de-gas. Pop the cap off and put a new (sanitised) cap on.

If the bottles are cold you will be less likely to get an overflow while you do it.

im definetly going to start bulk priming from now on looks like i know what im doing tomorrow

I'm assuming that you have standard plastic bottle caps. Be very, very careful while doing it. If the brew starts to rise up, tighten the lid immediately and wait for it to subside. Then try again. You may want to continue doing that until the bottle has some give in it. Chilling the bottles will also help a little as well.

I actually managed to blow up two plastic bottles trying to make a ginger beer. Thinking back on it, I really should have taken a photo of one of the plastic bottles with the jagged edges where the entire top and lid blew off or the other one where the lid was pointing to the ground and was connected to the bottle by a section of plastic.

no they are glass bottles sorry guys for the **** spelling tonight

Take care while you are near the bottles. A pair of safety glasses would be a good idea.

how do i know how much to let out so that i have ample carb for later on

This happened to me once :(

- On with the welding mask, gauntlets and leather apron!

Made a mess on my lawn, but snails for miles around got off on the spoils!

....and dont carry these bottles on board of an Aircraft :)

guess for al long time you wouldnt get any beer at all. ;)

Safety glasses?

I'd be donning a full face motorcycle helmet to deal with those turkeys + gloves and jacket!

(Yes I have actually done that before - maybe looked silly but felt safe(ish))

Very sensible advice, boozy.
