Im brewing a clone of Samual Adams Boston lager and i was wondering what is the lowest temp i can brew this beer at. For yeast im using saflager.... My fridge is about 5 degrees... will my lager brew well at that temp? Please help as i have already started the brew.

Thanks

5 deg seems a bit low for saflager, but I have never run it that low, so cannot comment from personal yeast wrangling.

If your gear works at that temp, try it, if the berw is not fermenting, take 'er up Scotty.

At 5 deg C, you wil probably be safe from the bad bad bacteria for a few days.

if saflager S23 works at 5 degrees - then the primary ferment will take longer - at least 2 weeks in primary..
