I have been kit brewing for a while now and recently purchased a 19l pot from big w and a candy thermometer with the intention to try a partial mash, I've read several guides and they are all a little confusing about how much water to use and I'm having a bit of a hard time understanding the whole process.
Does anyone have a recipe and some instructions suitable for a first time partial mash and suitable for the equipment I have got I.e. a 19l pot and a 30l fermenter, that would produce a 23l batch?
I'm hoping to try a pale ale first but to be honest I would take any recipe at this stage to give it a go.
