I currently oxygenated my wort with a stone after it has been cooled with a plate chiller.
I've just had a thought that perhaps I could skip the oxygenation as it goes through the plate chiller and use the airstone in my SS Brewtech Unitank. It sort of feels like a good idea but I'm not sure whether the head of oxygen sitting on top of the brew would do it any good?
Anyone got any thoughts on this?

No problem, it’s fine to aerate in the fermenter.
People used to aerate on the hot side of the HEX to sterilise the air, Oxygen however is sterile so it doesn’t matter where you inject it.
It doesn’t take long for the amount of O2 in solution so stabilise so if there is some on top of the wort and not enough in solution the wort will take up more, if there is an excess in the wort it will move into the head space, sort of self balancing dependant on temperature.
