Over The Side Heating Element

I'm currently using a 4 ring burner to boil an 70L kettle.

Its taking to long to reach the boil, so I wanted to buy an over the side heating element to give it some extra boost.

Any tips on where to get the best buy?

I went to Gordon Mcdonald. $115. EBAY has them for $99 delivered.

The cheapo ones from ukraine I believe are dodgy as.

Yup, I also got mine from Gordon Macdonald in town for around $90 IIRC, but this was about 3-4 years ago now so I'm not 100% sure. Might've gone up to $115 as Mark said, or I just have horrible memory and did pay that for it.

Either way, good bit of gear to be used alongside my 3 ring burner to get the keggle up the boil nice and quickly.

Should be even faster with the 4 ring as you have

Probably be good for step mashing too. I want one for that reason, but it'd be a bonus to use it to get to the boil quicker.
