Hi all can someone tell me what ingredients i need to clone outback jack lager from a kit. Thanks Gary.

Lager is a bit of an art and a whole lot of skill, and very difficult to clone from a kit.

I haven’t had outback jack lager, but if its like most of those light style lagers, you’re probably best using a light lager kit, a kg of light malt extract and an ale yeast fermented around 17C (lager yeasts need a lot of love, and probably not worth the effort for a kit beer and if you don’t have good temp control).

Head in to Grain and Grape in Yarraville (or given them a call) and see what they can do for you. They’re pretty knowledgeable and will be able to point you in the right direction with pretty much any style.

Other option is to get something like this kit online. It’s a knock off of great northern, which I suspect isn’t too different to what you’re trying to achieve.
