Just picked up a kegerator package for $50 but I really only wanted the kegs.

It's got this tap on the front, I'm pretty new but I've never seen one like it.

Are they considered forward sealing? Worth holding on to?

Cheers.

It's an EK beer tap, made by either Downey or Andale.
They were in their day regarded as an excellent tap (still are) and yes they are forward sealing.
You could buy a service kit, pull it down clean and lube it. It should give you years of good service.
Service kit from Andale, tho you might find other suppliers.

Cool! Thanks mate appreciate it. Was trying to google it and find images but was coming up with nothing.

I will definitely get the seal kit. Considering the can of extract old mate gave me with the other stuff expired in 2007 it might need it.

What do yas reckon? Brew the tin for shit and giggles? :p

About the same chance as a 15 year old tin of soup tasting good.... Pass.

I've got tins I uesed recently that expired 8 years ago and no issues, I don't do tins often but I got these a few years ago at clearnece prices an they sat in the cupboard as I am an all grain man.

No harm in giving it a go, always good to practice process etc

I'm honestly not concerned about the outcome of the brew. Just feel like it deserves a proper send off.

Good vintage.
