Hey guys,

Just put my first cider in the fermenter.

Bought about 16l of apple juice and 4l of apple/pear. I put that all together with different sugars and champagne yeast. After the first day I boiled some oak chips (1,5gr/l) and put them in the fermenter as well. Afterwards I read on this forum that you should only do this after the fermentation (oops)
Is my cider ruined now, can i fix this somehow or should everything work out fine?
What about time? The champagne yeast seems to go a lot slower than any beers I've made before. How long should it take before I can put it in the fridge?

Cheers!
