If I use a hop spider with whole hops and keep all the hop material out of the cube do I still need to modify my hop additions?

Thanks. Aamcle

Well.. It's still spending x minutes above iso temps right? So I'd say yes, that's the idea behind cube additions, as late as possible, or the aargon method, at ferment.

Alpha acids from hops will be in the wort and will still be isomerised during no chill so if you're asking if you need to adjust hop amounts for bitterness levels for no chill even if you're using a hop spider and pulling out the hops then yes, I find in my system with a 10 min whirlpool adding 15mins to my hop calculations works about right.

Someone else may need to answer if you're asking about whole vs pellet hop utilization during no chill.

OK thanks that's what I wanted to know. Can you please post a link to the Aragon method?
