Hi everyone,
I'm looking into starting my own home brewing of beer soon.
I will be making small amounts for personal consumption only. (Not commercial)
I'm located in Queensland, Australia.
Do I have to pay tax or have some sort of license before brewing? (Again this is not commercial but only for my self)
I'm asking so it remains legal and I don't get in trouble (I'm not sure of the legality behind it).
Thanks.

There's no real restriction on homebrewing in Australia for personal consumption, so go right ahead and do your best. Any information or help you need, just ask on here, that's what the forum is all about.
You will need all the relevant licences etc if you brew on a commercial basis but, as you say, you won't be doing it on a commercial basis.
Also, you can't legally sell your homebrew without a licence etc, but you can certainly donate it to family, friends, mates etc.
