G’day AHB community,

I’m a competent home baker, and wood-fired barbecue enthusiast, diving right in to home brewing.

I’ve just picked up a second hand kit with most of the gear needed to be dangerous.

I’m keen to go to local meetups on the Sunny Coast and surrounds.
I’m also keen to purchase kit and bulk grain and willing to share the shipping cost with those in the area also looking to pick some items up online.

Let me know either way.

Cheers! 🍻

You could contribute to the Bread Porn thread too. Can't abide sourdough but would love to replicate the dark malty loaves I had in Prague

I’m also a big fan of the bread I was enjoying both times I traveled around parts of Europe. It’s actually the reason why I started baking. Almost impossible to find European styles of bread here in Aus.

Hey wombat - I’m on sunny coast, there’s also the brew store @ noosa and they are connected to Noosa home brew club that have a club night once a month … I haven’t been brewing much lately but have been thinking it’s time to clean out the shed and fill some kegs

Best bread I had was in Prague dark brown and malty. You can buy strong malt bread flour, but only a little is needed. I tried using DME as I had read about some folk using that, but wouldn't have known it was there.
